

The CaveHe was cold, and numb. Sharp bolts of pain raced through his body as feeling slowly returned. It was dark. The pulsing pressure of blood rushing to his head made Alex quickly aware that he was upside-down. The sounds of his own pulse and grinding teeth screamed in the silence which tortured his burning ears. He knew where he was, not the exact location, but close enough. HopeThe wind whips Against a lone figure, Gazing into an empty sea. A sheet of wool Draws tight around her neck, Frayed by the forgetting winds. A simple ring Of less than gold, Draws warmth from a closed hand. Lines of age creep Onto a youthful face, A gaze met by none. A single tear Wiped away, Mixed into the sea.Hope
